James D. Smith has over 22 years of experience in safety, risk management, industrial hygiene and environmental fields.  He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with specialty in management and comprehensive practices.

The American Society of Safety Engineers named James D. Smith as the National Safety Professional of the Year in 2004.  In addition, Jim was nationally elected to the Board of Director for the American Society of Safety Engineers as Vice President, Council of Practices and Standards for years 2004-2006.

James Smith has worked as a safety, risk and claims manager.  He has investigated major accident and fatalities, participated in natural disaster events and is qualified as an expert witness in the State of Florida .
